Michelle Banwell
About
”Hello. I study brains and bend bodies. I've been teaching since 2016, and in the same year, founded an NPO called Downward Dog for Dogs.”
Michelle is passionate about teaching safe, accessible, and individualised yoga that works for each and every body. In the aftermath of COVID-19 and the closure of her home studio (Wild Thing), she sorely misses teaching group classes. What she has realised is that what she misses most are the moments spent connecting with individuals discussing, dissecting, and co-constructing the puzzle of their personal experience of yoga.
As a result, Michelle now offers a 'Rent A Yoga Nerd' service - an online, personalised space for consultations, private classes, and research collection for anybody (from beginners wanting a breakdown of poses, to teachers wanting assistance, to anyone with questions about mental health and yoga). Essentially, it's an offering for whatever you need it to be, wherever you are right now in your yoga practice.
