Ulrike Lamprecht
About:
Ulrike strongly believes in the healing and transformative power of Ashtanga Yoga. She is living proof that daily practice works. Ulrike has practiced according to the exact Ashtanga method since 2002. Ulrike opened her own yoga school (shala), Ashtanga Yoga Cape Town (AYCT), in 2006 where she taught the traditional Ashtanga method as it was directly taught to her by Sharath R. Jois of Mysore India.
From May 2018 to September 2019 Ulrike took a sabbatical from teaching and is excited to be sharing her knowledge again now at Yoga Zone in Kloof St in Cape Town, where she is teaching traditional Ashtanga Yoga classes and workshops.
One of the quotes which resonate with her, is by Senior Ashtanga teacher, Tim Miller: “My goal as a teacher is to inspire a passion for practice. The practice itself, done consistently and accurately, is the real teacher.”
Ulrike lives in Cape Town with her husband and her four children.
