A one-month residential immersion programme combining Yoga Teacher Training & Ayurvedic Retreat. An opportunity to integrate the teachings and practises of Yoga & Ayurveda into your lifestyle.

This course is a comprehensive study and practice of Yoga. The inspiration and focus of the training will be based on alignment and vinyasa Yoga. 

As part of the course electives you will be trained in the science of restorative Yoga and Ayurveda. 

You will be inspired to create a lifestyle of holism and awareness. 

Expect to mindfully, intelligently, and progressively practice postures and techniques that will give you meaningful insight into the human mind and body connection.

Learn to cultivate discipline and commitment into your own practice and nourish those principles in the lives of those around you, as well. 

Receive resources and support to engage with the course requirements in a progressive and effective way.

On completion of the course you will be qualified to teach the fundamentals of Yoga.

We are a a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School. Students who complete all course requirements will receive a certificate qualified for registration with Yoga Alliance.

Embark on a transformative journey with our comprehensive Yoga Teacher Training program, designed to nurture your personal practice and equip you with the skills to teach confidently and effectively. Our curriculum supports you through two tracks:

LEARN TO PRACTICE

  • Self-Practice: Incorporate & Embody sustainable practices for holistic living – an opportunity to focus on self-study and self-care.

  • Holistic Yoga Practice: Understand asanas with a focus on alignment and awareness, and explore progressive, mindful vinyasa sequences.

  • Pranayama & Subtle Body: Delve into pranayama (breath expansion) techniques and the energetic anatomy, including chakras and nadis.

  • Meditation: Learn, practice, and embody mindfulness and other essential meditation practices.

  • Ayurveda: Learn to intuitively understand your unique constitution and find balance in harmony with nature. 

LEARN TO TEACH: Learn an integrated and inclusive teaching methodology to teach people from all walks of life. Gain the key competencies to become a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.

  • Anatomy & Physiology: Gain an in-depth understanding of the musculoskeletal system, functional biomechanics, the nervous system and poly-vagal theory, and other major systems of the body. 

  • Yoga Humanities: Study the history, philosophy, and evolution of yoga, along with Ayurvedic fundamentals.

  • Professional Essentials: Develop your teaching methodology, sequencing skills, and engage in teaching practicums. Explore the business side of yoga and the importance of ethics.

  • Posture Practice Workshops: Throughout the course we will cover the alignment essentials, anatomy & physiology, progression & preparation, and vinyasas for the following categories of postures: 



 

About your hosts:

Diego Baldi

Diego is the founder and lead teacher of Inner Wellness Studio. Diego draws from his background in holistic health coaching, integrative nutrition, and Ayurveda – offering a comprehensive lifestyle transformation approach.

Diego was introduced to Yoga at the early age of 13 and was since then continuously inspired towards more conscious moving and living. Over the last 20+ years he has been practising, teaching and studying with people from diverse cultures, religions, and socioeconomic backgrounds in southern Africa and abroad. He completed yoga teacher training programs in India & South Africa specialising in Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, and Iyengar Yoga.

Diego is a certified Holistic Health Coach having completed a professional program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. He works uniquely with each client to establish eating habits and a lifestyle that will support their personal goals and challenges. Diego has the knowledge to assist with a variety of methods that support the transformation of health from a holistic platform. He specialises in stress management, anti-aging, digestive health, detoxification and natural wholesome eating and living. 

María Victoria la Tanamá

Born and raised in Puerto Rico into a multi-generational boricua family. Tanamá is an educator dedicated to supporting others in achieving their intentions for health and wellness.

She initiated her formal studies of Hatha Yoga in Rishikesh Yog Peeth, northern India, where she completed her first 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training. From there her passion for natural healing led her south to Kerala where she gained profound insights into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda. She went on to travel to South Africa where she completed an additional 500-hours of training focusing on alignment based vinyasa, restoratives, and the ayurvedic integration of yoga. She is also certified to teach yoga for pregnancy and children.

María Victoria draws from her academic background in research, education, and social sciences to help create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all. Her personal experience recovering from chronic pain and developing menstrual cycle awareness inspire a compassionate and holistic approach to wellness & recovery. She co-creates and leads Yoga & Ayurveda courses and retreats with Inner Wellness Studio.
