About
KAR is linked to AKYTTSA, an NGO focused on spreading the healing technology of Kundalini Yoga.
We are working towards shaping a global consciousness that recognises the importance of an integrated political and spiritual vision for leadership whereby universal spiritual principles are inserted into the discourse of transformation, change and development.
KAR is focusing it's work in Southern Africa, starting with South Africa, and hoping to soon work in Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Angola, Kenya and other Southern African states.
The philosophy of yoga and in particular Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is the medium which is used to train yoga teachers, who are empowered to spread the teachings and practices of KY into such urban and rural communities within Southern Africa that have previously had little or no access to these teachings.
We intend to reach into homes and families, schools, universities, corporations and health institutions through the training of yoga teachers. Who in turn can teach in their own communities, as well as be able to teach specialised and therapeutic KY, such as, children’s yoga, pregnancy yoga, yoga for health and wellness for all ages including the elderly, and yoga for mental and physical states of illness.
We intend to link with local, continental and international partners who share this vision.
