Unfolding Like a River Retreat

26 - 29 September | Kamala Karoo Sanctuary

Our practice and our lives can be seen to unfold just like a river. The river flows from source to mouth, unfolding naturally during its meandering path to the sea. It goes through many twists and turns, eddies, and falls. It slows down and speeds up at different intervals, just like our lives. During the course of our lives we also experience all sorts of circumstances – it is sometimes free-flowing. Sometimes we experience our own blockages such as health, old-age, sickness or pain. The currents are sometimes rough, sometimes smooth.

During our retreat, we will practice unfolding like a river in openness and allowance, using mindful meditation, yoga, and sound healing practices.

We will just allow ourselves to unfold, with no aims, expectations and goals – letting go into the flow of our practice and the full flow of our lives in openness and allowance.

Peace and tranquility permeates the whole property. The serene interior is a unique celebration of spirit, colour and beauty. Together with the exquisite garden, birdlife and deep silence of the land, you feel embraced. Home.

The retreat has a main house with 5 en-suite bedrooms, communal lounge, dining room and kitchen, 2 en-suite garden units and a secluded en-suite garden cottage with an outside bath. Each room has its own private patio.
