Power of Presence Retreat

29 November - 1 December | Magaliesburg

Power of Presence is an annual yoga retreat hosted by Durga Tara (Michelle van Straaten) from Many Moons Yoga. The theme this year is devotion, dreaming and dying.

Over the course of the retreat we will look at:

  • Devotion: what is devotion, why it is necessary in this day and age

  • How to introduce practical forms of devotion into your life and yogic practice.

  • Dreaming: the role of dreaming and how this state can be used to help progress along the path

  • Death and dying: the importance of living in preparation for this huge event and the traditional perspectives thereof.

The above will be supported by daily meditation, journaling, movement practice and exquisite vegan and vegetarian food. The retreat is nestled in the Magaliesburg valley where the energy of the Cradle of Humankind provides a perfect resonance to drop into these themes.

Preparation will begin a few weeks before the actual retreat and you will receive a range of lectures, teachings, meditation practices and some reading material in preparation for this deep dive. This retreat is for those looking for something deeper in the yogic tradition that spans beyond asana and into the realm of transformation on all levels of body, mind and speech.

Investment: R7,000 (private accommodation, all inclusive)
