The Farmstead

The Farmstead is ensconced between heaven and earth where the mountains of Franschhoek and waterfalls meet. You will find a carefully curated cultivation of luxury cottages, orchards, trees, chickens and cows anchors a land where soil regeneration, restorative growth and organic togetherness emerges.
The old farm cottages, with their original footprints, have been rejuvenated using reclaimed and farm-found objects, cleverly sewn together to construct a 'farm stay luxe’ experience. We felt that the space had to be more than accommodation, it needed to make memories too, and so the farm stay cottages were born. A rural place, made using things of the farm, with a twist of lush, would be our style inspiration.
Here you leave behind the clutter of the unused, and find peace in a purpose built space, a space with a touch of sparkle....
We do offer the whole or partial Farmstead space for retreats and functions. The Farmstead has six cottages, a yoga studio, kitchen and catering facilities and a riverside deck and function area. The six cottages can accommodate 32 people, across 16 double rooms in total, each self catering cottage with equal double and twin rooms, open plan living, kitchen, lounge, surround veranda, fireplaces, mountain and river views, daily servicing, verandas, and fireplaces, are split into:
2 x four bedroom/four bathroom and
4 x two bedroom/two bathroom
The indoor studio is next to the pool and close to the cottages, has a function space, veranda, and pool side areas. The riverside deck is a short walk down the river, can be used for yoga and functions, includes lights, sides for weather protection and an open fire space.
There are two options for retreats and events:
Exclusive use of the six cottages, and sixteen double rooms, up to 32 people only (no outside guests can be facilitated), with two night minimum, with winter discounts for 3 nights or more.
Partial use of The Farmstead for retreats of 8-12 people, on a per room per night, with 2 night minimum and winter discounts for 3 nights or more.
All rooms supplied with organic toiletries, towels, linen, coffee, tea, water, milk. Daily servicing of accommodation, verandas, and fireplaces. Functions in the studio, pool side or deck charge per set-up, incl, tables, flowers, cleaning, and close. Catering for smaller events is done in house and can be done on a brunch and dinner basis, or we supply all the food and the group can prepare the easy menus together.
For larger events, we have an outside chef we work with for the catering the larger events, or we hire the fully equipped kitchen for your outside chef. Functions are limited to 32 people maximum as this is what we are set-up for. The price above does not include function design and management, or waiter service. All of which is available on request.
