The evening makes use of a variety of aspects to activate your parasympathetic nervous system – the system responsible for “rest and digest” – that serves to de-stress, relax, and tune into your body’s natural rhythm again. With meditation, breathing, yin yoga and fine-tuning the art of comfort in stillness, we allow our systems to recalibrate and settle into a calmness we don’t often have the opportunity to achieve in our normal daily lives. It’s here that we can pause, reflect and digest.

What is yin yoga?
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, introspective style of yoga that targets the deeper tissues in our bodies. Unlike its dynamic counterparts (like vinyasa), Yin Yoga encourages us to surrender, finding stillness in each pose for an extended period. It’s all about embracing the magic of holding, releasing, and melting into the present moment. It’s deeply relaxing and you’ll likely have an amazing night’s sleep after this!
About your host:
I'm Candice Gale: mom, marketing business owner, wife, yoga teacher... and many other roles along the way. I've had yoga as the golden thread that's run through most of my adult life. I decided one day that I want to run retreats and did my Yoga Teacher Training and got stuck into creating the retreats that I wanted to go to! My yoga teaching has since taken on a world of its' own and it's become a main focus in my life. I now teach privately for a wide range of yoga students daily.
My yoga teaching focus is on bringing yoga to people in a way that is simple, understanding that anatomically, our bodies are all different and do different things in different ways. Yoga is something that everybody can do, not just the "super-flexy" types. It's not something unattainable or whimsical - it's accessible to anyone and just feels so good!
I’m just a normal person who likes yoga. Now I teach other normal people yoga. It’s that simple.
