Myofascial Alignment Unlocked

Unlock the hidden layers of movement and alignment with “Lines in Motion,” a transformative two-day workshop designed to deepen your understanding and application of Myofascia Integrated Alignment (MIA). This immersive experience will elevate both your personal practice and teaching skills by diving into the intricate world of myofascial lines and how they dynamically influence movement, posture, and overall alignment.

Workshops Structure:

Day 1: 11h30-14h30, Day 2: 12h00-15h00

In this in-depth lecture, you’ll be introduced to the foundational principles of MIA. • Gain an understanding of myofascia: its function, structure, and role in alignment.

  • Identify key myofascial pathways and their significance in movement patterns.

  • Understand the relationships between fascia, muscles, and the skeletal system, helping you see the body as an integrated whole.

The session will conclude with an open Q&A where you can clarify concepts and get tailored advice on applying MIA principles in real-world scenarios.

About your host: Casey Chiang

I am a practicing Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, Founder of Casey Chiang Yoga and have an established career as a part-time model.

I am a 1200hrs+ ERYT YACEP, Dylan Werner 600hrs and Ana Forrest Advanced Teacher, Jim Harrington 5 Star Yoga Teacher, ISHTA 500hrs and Pregnancy Yoga Teacher.

I teach internationally, run yoga teacher training courses and continuing education programs. I teach private, corporate, workshops, festivals, retreats and group classes. I teach all levels of yoga from beginners to advanced and my teaching styles are: Myofascia Integrated Alignment (MIA as taught by Dylan Werner), Myofascia Integrated Stretching (MIA as taught by Dylan Werner), Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga and Heated Vinyasa.

Over a decade my mission for teaching is to facilitate and create an environment where students can enter at any level and progress on their own personal journey of growth and improvement. One of my primary techniques is to simplify complex poses in a safe and fun environment with the culture where everyone moves and progresses at their own pace yet constantly finding creative ways to keep the students inspired. With that said, my style of teaching is often considered strong, to encourage and challenge students to overcome their own fears to be the best they can be.

Meaning of my life is to define it and the purpose of my life is to share it. My intention around yoga has been to share it with as many people as I can. Share the endless health benefits it has brought to my life and the incredible friends I have connected with over the years and to create a clearing for the community of yogins.

To me Yoga is about balance and harmony.
It is the practice of recognizing dualities: Ha (Sun) and Tha (Moon); masculine and feminine; Yin and Yang; Sthira (effort) and Sukha (ease); create space and to find depth.
Balance is to find the centre where the opposites meet.
Harmony, is where the dualities work together to find oneness of the universe.

Look forward to seeing you on the mat! NAMASTE!

One of my favorite quotes:
My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style. ~ Maya Angelou
