Kathleen Gellatly

About:

Kathleen’s journey from film producer to yoga teacher had been a significant transformation, rooted in her passion for promoting wellness and mindfulness. In May 2015, she made the bold decision to leave behind her career in film production to pursue her true calling, earning her 200-hour vinyasa teacher training certification in October 2015 at the Shala Cape Town Yoga School. Thereafter, Kathleen went on to complete her 300-hour training, eventually becoming the school’s manager, a role she played up until March 2020.

Throughout her career, she has been a loyal advocate for the healing potential of yoga, particularly addressing mental health challenges such as depression and anxiety. Her teachings primarily focus on women, aiming to support them in achieving a sense of alignment and serenity. Her teaching approach is holistic, emphasizing the integration of body, mind and spirit through various techniques. She encourages her clients to embrace a balanced lifestyle with steps and routines that ensure physical and mental wellbeing. With the focus on technique and mindfulness, Kathleen guides her students through the process of staying grounded with practical tips, teaching the benefits of yoga poses and ensuring that they navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.

Kathleen’s passion for creating transformative spaces for women is the driving force behind both her Silent Yoga Retreats and the Aligned Living Membership. Through her retreats, she provides women with a sanctuary to step away from the daily noise and truly reconnect with themselves. These retreats focus on the power of silence, yoga, and meditation to bring a sense of calm, clarity, and deep inner peace. Kathleen’s retreats are crafted to nurture the mind, body, and spirit, giving women the opportunity to reset and rejuvenate.

Her dedication extends beyond the retreat setting. With the Aligned Living Membership, Kathleen offers a comprehensive platform for women seeking holistic wellness in their everyday lives. This membership provides access to on-demand yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork sessions that cater specifically to women’s health and well-being. The full-access option offers live virtual classes, personalized guidance, and a supportive community of like-minded women. Kathleen’s commitment to empowering women is evident in every aspect of the membership, which is designed to help women embrace their unique energy, find balance, and build meaningful connections. Whether you join her on a retreat or through the membership, Kathleen is there to guide and inspire you on your journey towards your overall well-being.
