Amandari Yoga Shala Greyton

Amandari Yoga Shala is a tranquil, intentional yoga & meditation space in the picturesque country village of Greyton.

Amandari Shala translated from Sanskrit means 'house of peaceful energy' or 'place of peaceful spirits'.

Amandari came into being through my strong wish to create a tranquil space where people can find a feeling of belonging & connection. To feel inspired, to practice, take a pause, come back into balance & experience a profound sense of well-being.

We offer hatha yoga, integral vinyasa, restorative and yin yoga. Our other offerings include special classes: pranayama or breath work, yoga nidra, sankalpa, mindfulness meditation, soundbath sessions and reiki. We offer weekly classes, workshops and short retreats. Private group bookings are available by arrangement.

Yoga & meditation practice creates self-awareness, shifts energy in our body and transforms us. Although it's possible to practice anywhere, ideally the space in which we practice should enhance & support this movement of energy and transformation. Amandari gently fosters a nourishing atmosphere.

If a space is right, you can feel it. You’ll feel at home, comfortable, protected, grounded. The atmosphere, the energy, the smell, the sounds; all this allows us to connect to the lightness inside us.

With a fireplace and underfloor heating, Amandari is a cosy winter space and breezy & cool in summer.

If you feel like you need to take a deep breath and connect to like-minded people, come and join us for yin & vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, sankalpa, mindfulness meditation, a bit of ayurveda knowledge or a reiki consultation.

Our space is open to anyone of any background. Everyone is welcome, whether you are just beginning your yoga journey, or have followed the yogic path for some time. We also warmly welcome solo female travellers, who will feel at ease joining our yoga class, knowing they will receive a warm welcome from friendly local yogis.
