About:

I believe you were brought here for a reason… Let us get to know each other…

My name is Zayaan, My friends call me Zaza, Zay, Zee and Xaxoo ! I grew up in Lenasia , Johannesburg South Africa. I am a Personal Trainer, Mom, Friend, First aider and a Wellness warrior. My Passion for mental health, physical health and nutrition has led me on the path of completing my 500 hour RYT Yogini course.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with PTSD, Depression and Anxiety. There were physical illnesses as well, Obesity, Diabetes and Cholesterol.

Being 120kgs and UNHAPPY with everything, dealing with everyday uphill battels, I decided to start a new chapter in my life called “ME”!!
During this time, the following quote became my Mantra

"The mind is everything, what you think you become!"
-BUDDAH-

This is where my wellness journey began. I did the research, upskilled myself and took my teaching into consideration within my Dinacharya. (Dinacharya – is a principle in Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga. It refers to a daily routine that’s meant to maintain physical and mental health.)

My passion for attaining a more PEACEFUL, HEALTHEIR, MEANINGFUL and more WHOLESOME life did not end there, I felt a deep urge to help others on their own journey and this is where BODHI DOJO was born.
Here at BODHI DOJO, we aim to assist you with the YAMAS (External disciplines) and the NIYAMAS (Internal disciplines) for attaining your own path to ENLIGHTENMENT. (ENLIGHTENMENT – To be freed from the tyranny of the mind and to experience deep spiritual peace, presence, and wholeness.)
